It's a FIESTA Giveaway!

One good thing came out of my hometown and that is…(well, besides me)…FIESTAWARE!

Yes, I am from the land where thick, heavy, durable pieces of china are molded from clay, painted fabulous colors, and sold in pricey sets. How pricey? About $50 per place setting.

But it’s worth it, people. These dishes are gorgeous. They come in a rainbow of colors to mix and match, or—like me—stuff your cabinets full of one color.

I love me some Cobalt Blue. I even painted my kitchen to match---because you can’t get new dishes without having a total kitchen re-do.

(Yes, the dinner plate IS as big as my head. And yes, that is my crap-tastic attempt at "sponging" paint on the walls.)
